ELECTRICkitten.com is the hip, friendly, and even fun alternative to corporate web hosting companies! (Caters to a younger and more creative audience)
KITTENstar is the fun and inexpensive alternative to the average domain purchasing site.
Branding:
Electric Kitten and KITTENstar had an idea of what kind of vibe they
wanted but needed a major update in the looks department. They needed
an image
that appealed
to independant artists and youth culture. The site they previously
had worked for them but to bring in more of the clients they wanted,
they needed
a hot new look that was polished and
well-organized. This includes totally overhauling
their color palette, content and logo. KITTENstar was an expansion
of this empire. The KITTENstar site needed to have a similar feel but
a slightly different logo and color palette to promote it's individual
brand.
Website:
ELECTRICkitten: Having a new brand means getting a new website! The orange
and yellow color pallette is meany to promote their fun funky attitudes
as a business
and helps set them apart from other companies. The simple organized
layout has descreet detailing to offer a hipness without overwhelming
the person using the site. A highlights section was created so they
could add some hot deals and link to other affiliates.
KITTENstar: This new wing of the kitten enterprises needed it's own color palette to differentiate itself from it's sister company but a similar layout so the user would relate the two with one another. The layout needed to be MUCH simpler in design because the content was going to be pulled in from another source.
Logo:
Electric Kitten had a brilliant little Cat image but needed their overall
logo to be brought to date to promote their new design and brand.
Type
treatment, color and placement of the icon helped them do this. KITTENstar
neede the same logo but we took away the stripes and give it a hip
lime green star image to promote quality with a little funk.
Print Advertisement:
Since Electrickitten has had their new site up, they have received rave
reviews! Electric Kitten knew it was time to take the next step and advertise
with the big guys--MacAddict
Magazine (The leading Mac magazine in the country). The plan was to
create a marketing effort of printing their ad six times over the next
six months. Morfia Design used their current brand while converting the
design so that it would print at optimum quality.
